Liscia di Vacca

This locality is the most historical of the Costa Smeralda, having been inhabited for long in the past. Proof of this can be found in the old and characteristic Sardinian village of Liscia di Vacca, with its quaint little church, which is now expanding with a well-equipped commercial centre, Alba Ruja. Further down the road, the restaurant “Briciola” of the Frontello daughters, then down the hill there are other ancient buildings, with an interior design studio, Madame Laurette, a hardware store and a restaurant, Rosemary’s, where English people frequently meet.

Liscia di Vacca extends from the residential area on the seaside, with its many small secluded beaches, the well-known and prestigious Hotel Pitrizza and the newly built Villaggio Bagaglino, with its large beach, pretty lakes, shops, restaurants and theatre, up to the hills where you can find a typical Sardinian nature and a beautiful view on the Arcipelago of La Maddalena.

In the evening, this area enjoys beautiful sunsets over the islands. The more experienced wind-surf enthusiasts love Liscia di Vacca for its well-ventilated bay. Porto Cervo is at most, only 3 kms away.
